FUNNY AND LUCK MOMENTS IN HEARTHSTONE EP. 81 (UNSTABLE PORTAL EDITION)

Unstable Portal Hearthstone

The year isn't over, and Trolden is still out and about, collecting the best and the funniest Hearthstone plays out there. This time around, he has made a video dedicated to one special card. That's right, this four-minute video shall focus on the incredibly fun yet infuriating Unstable Portal.

CHUGGA CHUGGA, TOTALBISCUIT

Hearthstone Chugga Totalbiscuit

Chugga chugga, motherchugga. The internet forums have been filled with Snowchugger memes recently, thanks to the card's remarkable impact to the game, especially for the Mage class. I actually just got back to playing Hearthstone after a couple of months, and I was slightly irritated by this little Water Elemental keeping my offenses at bay. It seems that I'm not alone, as even the Cynical Brit has been, well, cynical over a rather chugga-esque game. How many Snowchuggers is too much? One, two, three?

DAY9 AND DR. BOOM

Dr. Boom Hearthstone

Trolden's 80th episode of Funny and Lucky Moments in Hearthstone is now available. The first portion shows Day[9] hoping to acquire a Dr. Boom, so he bought seven expert packs. Let's just say that he was very, very lucky on the first try. Moreover, we once again witness the staggeringly random awesomeness of RNGesus, from arena battles to top deck madness.

NAXXRAMAS KEL'THUZAD: "EQUALITY" NOT ALLOWED

Baron Rivendare Equality
Baron Naxx Equality

If Alexstrasza was immediately destroyed during the Plague Quarter of Curse of Naxxramas, Equality will not be tolerated by Kel'Thuzad. Hearthstone player Erath found this the hard way as he was battling against Baron Rivendare over at the Military Quarters. Once he cast Equality, Kel'Thuzad didn't allow it and nullified the card's effect.

AMAZ ALMOST LOSES TO JUGGLER

Knife Juggler AmazVoid Terror Amaz

"You do not Juggler a bearded man, let alone a bearded beast." - Amaz 2014

And so begins the ranked play of Amaz as he uses hunter while his rank 2 opponent, Veev, uses Zoolock. Knife Juggler has proven time and time again that it can spell victory or defeat for any player, and the same goes for Amaz. He was going to lose if the Juggler hit the right targets, especially with the ability going off again and again thanks to Void Terror being played, destroying the Harvest Golem beside it and allowing the deathrattle ability to play another minion for another Juggler ping.

ADORABLY TERRIFYING: NAXXRAMAS MINIONS WITH GOOGLY EYES

Sludge Belcher might possibly be the most annoying taunt minion right now as it's simply a big Sen'jin Shieldmasta that totally stops any tempo advantage of aggro decks. And then there's Maexxna, which is a giant spider, and that is enough reason for me to not like it. But oh, just look at the power of googly eyes! They have turned the monsters into cute, adorable, curious creatures that want your affection.

ONLY A FEW DAYS LEFT BEFORE JULY SEASON IS OVER!

Zoolock Ladder Hearthstone

Yup. Sometimes, it's the Face Hunter. More often than not, it's the infamous Zoolock, but this time with Nerubian Egg and other minions acquired from the Arachnid Quarter of Curse of Naxxramas. It can't be helped that people use Zoolock when it comes to grinding, since it's fairly easy to play and battles don't usually last for long. There are, however, Priest deck users which are getting away with higher rankings because of their anti-Zoo build. Good luck laddering, everyone! Don't trip, don't tilt.

HEARTHSTONE AI BMs KRIPPARRIAN IN NAXX

Hearthstone Kripparrian Funny

We understand, Kripp. It's already a bad feeling to be defeated in a game you love so much, but it's humorously worse when even the Hearthstone AI BMs you. In this short video, Kripp is about to get killed off by the AI, Faerlina, but his opponent thought to take some time before going in for lethal, using two Inner Rages which are actually unnecessary. Go on Kripp, it's okay to rage.

KOREAN HEARTHSTONE AD: I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT BUT IT'S FANTASTIC

BE AMAZED! I don't speak Korean, but I have watched South Korean music videos, aside from StarCraft: Brood War and StarCraft II matches being played by professional South Korean players. This is a very hilarious and very effective advertisement made by Blizzard. It stars Kim Bo Sung (the guy with the shades holding the Hearthstone card tablet like Moses), a popular guy in variety shows. Also, for anyone else wondering, the girl he looked at is named Kim Min-Young and is humorously called "Girl with Boobs" and also appears in Hearthstone television programs.

With StarCraft II losing some appeal (and sponsors to support its professional gaming teams) in South Korea, it's good to know that Blizzard is trying to save some face by aggressively promoting Hearthstone not only as a casual, fun, and strategic game that takes less time than other complicated games so your partner won't get made at you if you play just one more game, but also as a game than can be taken seriously, even for some big money potential.

BONUS: Here's a video of that TV program

NOXIOUS, DAY9, & TIDES OF TIME IN: "THIS IS NOT HOW IT SHOULD HAVE WENT"

Hearthstone Day 9 Funny

Hearth Trolden's episode 56 of "Funny and Lucky Moments" in Hearthstone is now up in YouTube, summarizing the incredible bad luck (RNGesus pls) that Noxious, Day 9, and Tides of Time had during Ranked Play and while going through the Naxx Adventure Mode. Also, spoiler: Wild Pyromancer kills his ally, Ragnaros the Firelord, to the dismay of a streamer. This is a great episode, especially with the #rekt moves of the typical Mage player in Arena. Needs more Fireballs.

REYNAD: THE WORST HEARTHSTONE PLAY IN HISTORY

Funny Reynad Hearthstone

We are all familiar with Reynad (who also plays Magic: The Gathering), especially when it comes to the chant "PJSalt! PJSalt!." But what makes this video is the seemingly perfect performance of a very, very bad move. It was accompanied by a catchy song, with Reynad talking about Naxxramas' Webspinner. His opponent, a Shaman user, had five minions on his side of board, so it was obviously the perfect opportunity for the Starving Buzzard + Unleash the Hounds combo. Because of the Buzzard's combo, Reynad was able to draw another UTH. So, what could prove to be "the single worst play that has ever been made by a streamer on Twitch TV"? Find out below.

ZILEA: "I THINK I WIN"

Zilea Soulfire
Did he really win? What are the chances of losing against a Warlock deck when you have more than 20 health left? What are the chances?

HOW TO DEAL A 48 DAMAGE FIREBALL

Velen Fireball Hearthstone

Normally, a Fireball would deal six damage. However, if you have a Malygos in play, it becomes 11 damage. So, how did this player deal a 48-damage Fireball? Well, thanks to his Mage opponent's Fireball and thanks to his Alexstrasza and Ice Block delaying the inevitable defeat, our hero was able to copy his own Prophet Velen two more times with Faceless Manipulator.

6 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 48. OP.

48 Damage Hearthstone Fireball

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO OF REYNAD TALKING ABOUT FAMOUS HEARTHSTONE PLAYERS

Reynad Hearthstone Funny Salt

Be prepared for this uncut version of what Reynad had to say with regards to the Hearthstone scene. He's now ready to unveil the secrets of the famous Hearthstone streamers, from Amaz to Trump to Ekop to Kriparrian. Can you handle this revelation? We sure did.

AMAZ DECLARES "1=2" IN A RANKED MATCH

Amaz Funny Paladin

Taking jokes aside, I do kinda believe that "1=2" principle, especially when you're against an Aggro Paladin deck. The opponent could have a 2/1 Bluegill Warrior, or a Consecration, so it'd really be better off healing yourself than your 4/1 or 3/1. We need more data though, Amaz! Sorry if you spilled your drink.

TURN ONE "THE BEAST" PLAY. THE DREAM!

Druid The Beast Ramp

"OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD"

A glorious win in just one turn, thanks to a surprise The Beast play using Innervates and the coin. Luckily, the opponent didn't have Aldor Peacekeeper or Humility. Great editing!

THE MOST UNIQUE PLAYS IN HEARTHSTONE

I present to you, the following images of fascinating plays. As one person from reddit commented, "it's not about winning, it's about sending a message."

Dennis Hearthstone Funny

That's right. Do you feel threatened now? He played Pit Lord, and then used Sacrificial Pact on it in the same turn. Don't you dare mess with him. He just inflicted five damage unto himself, and healed immediately.

Dennis Hearthstone Funny

I shall use the coin to summon a 4/3 in my first turn. Tremble before me! But before that, I shall sacrifice it for free.

ATTENTION: MOGUSHAN WARDEN RENAMED

Mogushan Warden Brazil Funny
Shots fired.

And if that wasn't enough, here are a few more humorous comments that provide the Hearthstone and World Cup 2014 overlap:

1. "You could say Brazil got Gorehowl'd by Germany"

Gorehowl Germany Brazil

2. "He defends better than Brazil though."

3. "The back of their net sure had Taunt."

4. "You could say Brazil were really close to an Oasis Snapjaw."

Oasis Snapjaw Brazil Germany

TRIPLE MANA WYRM!

Yes, we all love doing the first turn Mana Wyrm + Coin + Mirror Image combo to get a 3/3 first drop, but what happens here in Arena mode is a bit more crazier.

Triple Mana Wyrm Combo

That' right. A first turn play of one Mana Wyrm, followed up by a second turn drop of two Wyrms, then Coin + Mirro Image. It's a lot of trouble for such an early game. That's arena for you.

LOVE AND HEARTHSTONE: Level 60 Hunter And Getting Married

What's better than getting a Level 60 Hero? Getting a surprise engagement! Hearthstone player mr.goodguy, who is actually female, was sitting at 499 wins with her Hunter deck. When she wanted to get that Golden Hero, her partner said that she should "wait until morning" because he had a "very special secret reward" for her. It was difficult for mr.goodguy, but she patiently waiting for the next day to arrive.

His partner arrived in the morning after work, saying that she can play it now, and that she did. Once she got the 500 wins and the Golden Hunter reward, her partner handed her a trophy that he bought. She was then told  to shake it, and she heard something when she did, and as she looked inside, a "beautiful diamond engagement ring" was discovered. A romantic and epic Hearthstone story it is.
