FUNNY AND LUCK MOMENTS IN HEARTHSTONE EP. 81 (UNSTABLE PORTAL EDITION)

Unstable Portal Hearthstone

The year isn't over, and Trolden is still out and about, collecting the best and the funniest Hearthstone plays out there. This time around, he has made a video dedicated to one special card. That's right, this four-minute video shall focus on the incredibly fun yet infuriating Unstable Portal.

CHUGGA CHUGGA, TOTALBISCUIT

Hearthstone Chugga Totalbiscuit

Chugga chugga, motherchugga. The internet forums have been filled with Snowchugger memes recently, thanks to the card's remarkable impact to the game, especially for the Mage class. I actually just got back to playing Hearthstone after a couple of months, and I was slightly irritated by this little Water Elemental keeping my offenses at bay. It seems that I'm not alone, as even the Cynical Brit has been, well, cynical over a rather chugga-esque game. How many Snowchuggers is too much? One, two, three?

DAY9 AND DR. BOOM

Dr. Boom Hearthstone

Trolden's 80th episode of Funny and Lucky Moments in Hearthstone is now available. The first portion shows Day[9] hoping to acquire a Dr. Boom, so he bought seven expert packs. Let's just say that he was very, very lucky on the first try. Moreover, we once again witness the staggeringly random awesomeness of RNGesus, from arena battles to top deck madness.

AMAZ ALMOST LOSES TO JUGGLER

Knife Juggler AmazVoid Terror Amaz

"You do not Juggler a bearded man, let alone a bearded beast." - Amaz 2014

And so begins the ranked play of Amaz as he uses hunter while his rank 2 opponent, Veev, uses Zoolock. Knife Juggler has proven time and time again that it can spell victory or defeat for any player, and the same goes for Amaz. He was going to lose if the Juggler hit the right targets, especially with the ability going off again and again thanks to Void Terror being played, destroying the Harvest Golem beside it and allowing the deathrattle ability to play another minion for another Juggler ping.

AMAZ GETS HIT BY MAD BOMBER THREE TIMES (0.20% PROBABILITY)

I think he didn't have enough offerings this time to RNGesus. For every glorious luck he has when it comes to topdecking, there are these moments which completely ruin your game. Not only does he make the wrong play, casting Imp Master instead of dropping Millhouse Manastorm and Northshire Cleric for three mana, but he also gets his much-needed Holy Nova burned because his hand was full. Finally, Amaz casts Mad Bomber and get hit in the face three times. That's a 0.20% chance of happening.

HEARTHSTONE AI BMs KRIPPARRIAN IN NAXX

Hearthstone Kripparrian Funny

We understand, Kripp. It's already a bad feeling to be defeated in a game you love so much, but it's humorously worse when even the Hearthstone AI BMs you. In this short video, Kripp is about to get killed off by the AI, Faerlina, but his opponent thought to take some time before going in for lethal, using two Inner Rages which are actually unnecessary. Go on Kripp, it's okay to rage.

NOXIOUS, DAY9, & TIDES OF TIME IN: "THIS IS NOT HOW IT SHOULD HAVE WENT"

Hearthstone Day 9 Funny

Hearth Trolden's episode 56 of "Funny and Lucky Moments" in Hearthstone is now up in YouTube, summarizing the incredible bad luck (RNGesus pls) that Noxious, Day 9, and Tides of Time had during Ranked Play and while going through the Naxx Adventure Mode. Also, spoiler: Wild Pyromancer kills his ally, Ragnaros the Firelord, to the dismay of a streamer. This is a great episode, especially with the #rekt moves of the typical Mage player in Arena. Needs more Fireballs.

TOTALBISCUIT: MAEXXNA GETS #REKT

In this one-minute video, the cynical Brit shows us the key to beating Maexxna: patience. And, yes, Alexstrasza and winning through fatigue. We're all glad that TB had a swell time going through the first wing of Naxxramas. Additionally, the video is currently unlisted, so you guys have to go to this link to go see it for yourselves: LINK

ZILEA: "I THINK I WIN"

Zilea Soulfire
Did he really win? What are the chances of losing against a Warlock deck when you have more than 20 health left? What are the chances?

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO OF REYNAD TALKING ABOUT FAMOUS HEARTHSTONE PLAYERS

Reynad Hearthstone Funny Salt

Be prepared for this uncut version of what Reynad had to say with regards to the Hearthstone scene. He's now ready to unveil the secrets of the famous Hearthstone streamers, from Amaz to Trump to Ekop to Kriparrian. Can you handle this revelation? We sure did.

AMAZ PROVOKING HIS OPPONENT

Amaz Auchenai Soulpriest

Sometimes, you have to make your opponent think that you don't have the right cards to counter his plays. And that's what Amaz did. He first tested the waters and determined whether the opponent used a Zoolock or Handlock deck, and then he made sure that his opponent fell for the bait as he set up a traumatizing board sweep.

AMAZ: BELIEVE!

Amaz thought that he needed to topdeck a card that can provide him with lethal damage. But should he really be hoping for a god draw?

AMAZ DECLARES "1=2" IN A RANKED MATCH

Amaz Funny Paladin

Taking jokes aside, I do kinda believe that "1=2" principle, especially when you're against an Aggro Paladin deck. The opponent could have a 2/1 Bluegill Warrior, or a Consecration, so it'd really be better off healing yourself than your 4/1 or 3/1. We need more data though, Amaz! Sorry if you spilled your drink.

TURN ONE "THE BEAST" PLAY. THE DREAM!

Druid The Beast Ramp

"OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD"

A glorious win in just one turn, thanks to a surprise The Beast play using Innervates and the coin. Luckily, the opponent didn't have Aldor Peacekeeper or Humility. Great editing!

THE POWER OF MILLHOUSE MANASTORM: Opponent Says Thanks

Proving once again that Millhouse Manastorm is the best minion... to fight against if you have a lot of kill spells in your hand. Imagine being a Mage and having three Pyroblasts. Millhouse grants the dreams of your opponents.

AMAZ COUNTERS GIANTS MAGE AND ITS FLAMESTRIKE

Amaz entertains, and delivers once again. This time though, it's as if he was possessed by Trump as he properly educated about the proper way of countering a Flamestrike from a Mage deck user, having a Mountain Giant in play.
Mountain Giant Amaz

In the video below, Amaz realizes that his opponent is preparing for a Flamestrike board sweep, as his minions were damaged to the point of them having four health left. He played Mirror Image to avoid any direct damage and persuading the opponent to play Flamestrike, but he also dropped Sylvanas Windrunner on the board, hitting it with his own Holy Smite to bring it to 3 health so that a Flamestrike would kill it, trigger the Deathrattle ability, and give Amaz his opponent's Mountain Giant.

2-MINUTE GUIDE TO GETTING 12 WINS IN ARENA

There are quite a lot of lengthy articles and videos giving Hearthstone players advice on how to improve their Arena runs. This isn't one of them. The video below lasts for only about two minutes, but what's intriguing is that the steps are indicated clearly, with the last one being "Step 5: Profit". And that's what this guy did in this well-edited video. I'm not kidding about the well-edited part, by the way. It's god good music and a glorious end. Well done, good sir! Of course, you need a bit of RNGesus' help to have an Arena run like this. And wish that you won't battle any Freeze Mage.

TRUMP's Most Amazing Comeback: Freeze Mage VS Druid

This is really amazing, and this just proves how excellent Trump is when it comes to deciding which cards to play at the right time. He knows that his Blizzard + Doomsayer combo might not work out against his opponent, and takes into account the cards that he has used, knowing if he can still "theoretically win" the game. This is a game of ups and downs, with Trump getting lucky enough to not get hit by Ragnaros on a few turns. From Alexstrasza to Archmage Antonidas to Cairne Bloodhoof and Sylvanas Windrunner, the board had a lot of strong minions, with Trump always wishing for a Blizzard or a Frost Nova. A very triumphant game for Trump!

TOO MANY SNAKES: The Priest vs Hunter Game That Started The Sub Train for Amaz

I'm going to admit it, I'm a big fan of Amaz. Have you heard of the news yesterday where his stream got a sub train that reached at least 150 subscribers? Well, this is the game that started it all. He seemingly had no way to win against his opponent's hunter deck. He had no cards in hand and merely relied on topdecking, and that he did. He got an Auchenai Soulpriest right when he needed it, followed by a Circle of Healing to clear the board. That's all I have to spoil, you really have to see this amazing play. And of course, it's not all about luck, because if you've watched Amaz, you know that he basically calculates the damage and imagines the scenarios before doing anything, aside from remembering which cards he and his opponent has used.

"F*CK MIRACLE DECKS": Nigma's Druid Deck That Kills Through Fatigue

Naturalize Druid HearthstoneIf you also watched Amaz's recent video where he was killed in a single turn because of a stealth-ed Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Mana Addict, you'll love this video made by Nigma. Apparently, he was tired of all the crazy amount of Miracle Rogue decks floating around casual and ranked play, so he made an anti-Miracle deck that basically had minions with taunts and a lot of cards that will eventually lead the opponent (who has been drawing a lot since he's using a Miracle deck) into fatigue. It's beautiful actually, it even uses Naturalize!

The strategy? Stay alive. This can be done by healing yourself using Earthen Ring Farseer, Ancient of Lore, and Healing Touch. Additionally, you can storm the board with a lot of taunt minions in the form of Druid of the Claw, Defender of Argus, Sen'jin Shieldmasta, Shieldbearer, and a taunted Ancient Watcher (by using Mark of the Wild, for example). And of course, once you've survived the onslaught of the Miracle deck, it's time to get rid of their library and win by fatigue using Naturalize, Coldlight Oracle and reusing it through Ancient and Youthful Brewmaster.
